The Bella Music Festival is one of the music festivals held in Minnesota. This is a three day event that keeps growing each year giving you the opportunity to enjoy the works of the rock, rap, folk, electronic and experimental artists from across Minnesota who perform their music at the Harmony Park in Geneva located a short distance from the Twin cities. This festival is usually held towards the end of May every year.

The Basilica Block Party is a music festival that is held annually by the St Mary’s Basilica and Cities 97 to raise money for the upkeep of the church. The festival is normally held during the first weeks of July. During this period various local artists joined by others from around the nation perform their music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Due to the nature of the festival, Gospel music is the main form of entertainment. This is one of the events that extends over a week.

Minnesota music festivals Taste of Minnesota is a music festival that basically has two things taking place; eating the various foods present during the event and enjoying the music being played.

A selection of local artists and touring classic rockers are among the performers who are normally lined up to play during this time. It usually takes place during the last week in July and Christian music is also played at some point during the festival.

As opposed to previous periods when the event was free, the organizers decided to charge an attendance fee so as to curb problems that arose due to the overwhelmingly large magnitude of people who came to the festival.

In mid June, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden turns into a beehive of activities as performances from local and foreign artists fill the air. This is Rock the Garden music festival that is normally organized by the current radio stations and the Walker Art Center. The Minnesota Public Radio members are normally given the first priority during the purchasing of the tickets because the event tickets always sell out fast.

The 10,000 Lakes festival is held towards the end of July, this is a music event that lasts for three days. The venue is normally in Detroit Lakes in Minnesota which is about three to four hours North West of the Twin Cities. During this festival Rock, country, folk and acoustic music are played.

The Vans Warped Tour takes in the month of August, the Moondance Jam festival happens in mid July, and Soundset Memorial Day are some of the other music festivals in Minnesota.
