In Minnesota, there are cultural events that are organized by various groups to educate people about cultures. These events are one of the many reasons why Minnesota remains to be one of the best tour destinations.

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an art exhibition that focuses on the Native American cultures. It has over a hundred works of art from the North American Indian art collections. Through this exhibition, the effect of nature on human life and the lifestyle of the Indians are magnificently demonstrated. The diversity in style and materials brings out the beauty of the art. They come from events that allows insight into the lifestyles of different groups of people, especially since art is believed to be a means of communication. That which was not recorded in writing can be deduced from the art works.

The Septoberfest is an event that is held in Minnesota to showcase the German traditions that are deeply rooted in the state. Itís an annual event that takes place in the city of Wabasha. You may think that youíre in Germany since the festival showcases the best of German food and music with great enthusiasm. During the event there are several exhibits like the largest pumpkin and the tallest sunflower that add a punch to the event. Germans visiting the state would probably appreciate the efforts of the organizers who have struggled through the ages to preserve the culture in the state.

The Riverfront District in Minneapolis hosts the annual two- day Stone Arch Festival. There are several live performances on the numerous stages that have been set up along with the works of over two hundred indigenous artists are showcased during the festival. Food vendors are also present to give the best of services for hungry stomachs after the dayís activities.

There is also the Festival of Nations that brings together around a hundred groups from different cultural backgrounds from around the world. The ways of life of the various groups are showcased amidst songs and dances performed by the invited musical acts and dance groups. Other than attracting the highest number of visitors, the festival runs for the longest time compared to other cultural festivals in Minnesota.

The Irish fair takes place at the Harriet Island Regional Park in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Itís another cultural event that you shouldnít miss. The three-day event celebrates the Irish culture with exciting cultural entertainment. The nature of the event are considered to be family friendly meaning the whole family can get to the banks of the Mississippi River and enjoy Irish festivals.

Sampling different cultures helps people to understand each other and it makes the world a better place. The festivals are numerous, meaning the decision is all yours to choose the most suitable, or experience them all. Remember each event has its own types of entertainment.
